Anyone that knows me knows that I used to cook. I won my first competition when I was five and cooked both as a civilian and in the military until I was 30. It’s been a love/hate relationship with cooking, but lately, it’s back to love and passion. I can’t wait to share the recipes I’ve been working on, inspired by my loved ones and my writing.
Gabby and Dan’s Rice and Beans
The first recipe my fiancé and I cooked together and one of our favorites. Perfect with grilled chicken, pork, steak, or seafood. Don’t forget to roast some veggies too.
Chocolate Chip Surprise Cookie
The surprise is whatever you have laying around. Got a milk chocolate bar? Chop it up and throw it in. Got some roasted pecans, why not toss them in. Pretzel pieces? You betcha.
